"Locked."

Imagine yourself entering something you know you

shouldn’t.

Then you were locked into it.

You kept walking, exploring what’s inside, hoping for a way out but you realize it’s just impossible!

You’re locked!

16-year old LJ Lee, a teenage director and a short-film cinematographer made a very engaging & thrilling movie about a young guy who got trapped and locked in haunted house. Watch his film below and I’ll be sharing some of my thoughts about how it relates with the simple yet, liberating message of the gospel.

(WARNING!!! PG is advised! Really scary! Yet great ending! TIP: Watch it with headphones! ;) )

Life’s a real horror apart from the good news of Jesus.

Because of sin we got into stuffs we know we shouldn’t and it just locks us in! The effect

s of our bad choices & own doing haunts us. Fear enslaves us. We just can’t get out the mess easily. We tried the pills and all the “good advice” we can get from some friends but still, life remains a nightmare!

Yet here is where the gospel comes in…

Like what the dude told the one locked, the gospel (good news) simply tells you to that there’s one way: “There will be a Door (a way out)…and you’ll be Free… Look up…(and follow what it says…)

The gospel tells us that the only way out of our nightmare-kind-of-life is to “look up” and simply “follow the instruction.”

Only when we stop striving on our own efforts, humbly look up to God, and follow His only way, can we experience true freedom!

“I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” (John 10:9 ESV)

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”  (1 John 4:18 ESV)

Surrender your sins to Jesus.

Receive God’s love and forgiveness that's for you that’s only in Christ.

And begin to live in true freedom!
