Nation's Champions in the Making

Mr. Francis Kong's event last Friday re-fired in me, the truth that indeed “champions are NOT made inside the ring. It's their training outside the public eyes that made the difference!”

No one who has ever been truly successful in any specific field (whether, in sports, business, media, politics, church leadership etc.) made it to be champions overnight.

Individuals who live winning in life, live in certain mindsets, certain attitudes, certain behaviors and certain activities that brought them to where they were before, to where they are now.

I believe young people today specially students in high school and college need to realize the value of training. They must realize that they are in the  most crucial season of preparation and phase of building the necessary foundations in life for them to thrive in their adult and professional lives.

Doin

g school works and assignments for example must be seen as VITAL exercises for them to be more responsible and hard working. They must NOT be seen as “mere requirements” that they must just get away with.

Training to win in life implies seeing “discipline” in a different light. We must look at it as a friend rather than a foe.

We usually tend to see discipline as “punishment” and therefore cringe at the very mention of it. But discipline is a good thing! Discipline and Training builds up character, and the good pressure comes with it brings out our great potentials and therefore we become better and able to make an impact in our society.

Our nation's youth, specially those that are in the campuses are our nations's “future”.

We got to engage them, hear from them, learn from them and invest in them! They got to learn from our failures and shortcomings and we also need to impart to them the necessary mindsets and right world views for them to win in life and make a “dent” in the world!

It will definitely be our success if we prepare them to be successful.

Indeed, they are our Nations's Champions in the making!

Winning Disciplines For Success!

I am personally excited to hear and learn from Fran

cis Kong and His keynote speakers tomorrow! It will be my first time to attend a learning event like this with my brother! I'll be sharing in this blog this weekend the things we can adopt as we mentor and build up student leaders.

If ever you're coming there too,  see you around!
